We’re proud to share a major step forward for Café Selva Norte (CSN), Urapi’s flagship venture in northern Peru. CSN has officially been certified by the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC), allowing us to process and export green coffee directly to the Chinese market, one of the most demanding and fastest-growing specialty coffee destinations in the world.

This milestone reflects not only the strength of our infrastructure, but the trust we’ve built around traceability, food safety, and quality. The license is valid through 2030, opening long-term opportunities for our producers and buyers alike.

Why China, Why Now?

With a rapidly growing middle class and a booming coffee culture, China is increasingly seeking high-quality, sustainable, and traceable products, a perfect match for what CSN and its partner cooperatives offer.

Direct Impact on Producers

Thanks to this new access, CSN’s allied cooperatives will benefit from:

  • Access to a high-value market

  • Better pricing linked to quality and sustainability

  • Long-term, stable contracts

  • Ongoing technical support and training to meet Chinese standards

A Strategic Win for the Ecosystem

This achievement strengthens the shared mission of Urapi, Ecotierra, and ElevaFinca: building sustainable, resilient supply chains that deliver climate and community impact. It positions CSN as one of the top coffee mills in Peru.

Looking Ahead

Our vision is clear: elevate the presence of Peruvian sustainable coffee in Asia, driven by trust, transparency, and quality. We will soon obtain the same export license for our other Dry Mills: RíoSierra in Colombia, ACM in Honduras, and Kuska in southern Peru, further strengthening our regional impact and global reach.
