Earlier this month, teams from across our ecosystem came together in Honduras for our annual group meeting, hosted at Aroma Café y Miel (ACM).

Bringing together colleagues from Peru, Colombia, and Honduras, this in-person meeting was an important moment to align on priorities, share field realities, and reinforce how we operate as one coordinated group across origins.

Why this meeting matters

Each year, we organize this gathering within one of our origin projects. This allows teams to better understand each other’s operations, visit facilities, and exchange directly on day to day challenges.

This year’s meeting in Honduras created space for open discussion and practical collaboration between teams from ElevaFinca, Café Selva Norte, Kuska, Aroma Café & Miel, and RioSierra, along with key members at Ecotierra.

Across all entities, one key realization emerged clearly: while each origin operates in a different context, many of the operational challenges are shared. This creates strong opportunities to learn from one another and improve collectively.

Key topics and operational focus

Several priorities were discussed during the sessions:

  • Strengthening internal structure to support long term growth

  • Driving clearer, more connected operations through new digital tools.

  • Reinforcing the importance of consistent quality across all origins

  • Aligning on a long term vision for the group and its development

One important moment of reflection came from sharing direct feedback received from clients. These discussions reinforced the need for continuous improvement and highlighted how consistency across origins directly impacts buyer experience.

From individual operations to a unified approach

A central takeaway from the meeting was the importance of operating as a fully aligned group rather than as independent entities.

In practical terms, a quality or execution issue in one origin can affect the perception of the entire network. This has strengthened our collective focus on consistency, communication, and shared standards.

To support this, several initiatives are already being implemented:

  • Closer coordination between teams across origins

  • Regular working sessions between origin project entities to address specific operational challenges

  • Strengthened collaboration between quality teams, including more frequent cupping across origins

This approach allows teams to learn from each other’s experience and resolve challenges more efficiently.

Strengthening quality across origins

Quality was a central theme throughout the meeting.

One key development is the reinforcement of collaboration between Q Graders across origins. With a more integrated structure, quality teams will regularly cup coffees from different countries, creating a stronger feedback loop and supporting continuous improvement.

This is an important step toward ensuring greater consistency and alignment in how quality is evaluated and maintained across our supply chain.

What this means for buyers

For our partners, these efforts translate into a more structured and coordinated approach to sourcing:

  • Greater consistency in quality across origins

  • Improved transparency and communication

  • Stronger operational alignment between producing countries

  • Faster resolution of challenges through shared experience

More importantly, it reflects a long term commitment to building a reliable and cohesive sourcing platform that can adapt to market conditions while maintaining high standards.

Looking ahead

Following the meeting, several cross origin working sessions have already been scheduled to address specific operational topics and implement improvements discussed in Honduras.

This ongoing collaboration will continue to strengthen how we operate as a group and how we serve our partners.

We remain committed to continuous improvement, transparency, and long term relationships across the supply chain. We would be happy to discuss this further, feel free to visit us at World of Coffee, booth 1705.

Warm regards,

The ElevaFinca Team
